Hmm, this one’s interesting. Getting a bit of that mineral sulphur on the nose, like struck matches but not quite. Then it opens up to loads of fruit – apples, plums, really zesty tangerines, maybe some blood orange in there too. On the palate, it’s got a nice sweet apples and barley sugar thing, with some porridge and walnut skin coming through. Not heavy or burnt at all, actually pretty clean and natural-tasting. Feels a bit younger than some older bottlings, with the grains coming through more clearly. There’s a touch of white wine and that grassy, grainy note, without much of a bready/yeasty character. Medium length finish, with a pleasant bitterness lingering. It’s decent, but honestly, not its best side today – a bit unbalanced maybe? Too bad, could’ve been a cracker. 👍

Tasted this one neat last night – first thing I got was a burst of really zesty tangerines, like peeling a fresh one 🍊. The grains come through quite clearly after that, kind of like oatcakes or barley sugar, but it’s not harsh at all. Found some sweet apples and plums in there too, maybe a touch of white wine? The finish has a bit of a grassy, mineral note, not long but pleasant enough. Hmm, reminds me a bit of a Gueuze with that slight tang. Not bad, though I think I liked the 1984 just a little more overall – this one feels a bit younger, you know? Too bad it loses a few points there for me.

Ooh, this one’s proper smoky with a bit of vanilla and... is that cinnamon? 🤔 Tastes a bit like a autumn evening, nice and warm. Got a little zingy finish too, like orange peel maybe? Yeah, lovely stuff. 👍

Just had a dram of this, and wow, it's proper smooth. A bit of honey up front, then a smoky kick that lingers like a foggy mornin'. Feels warm and cozy, with a hint of apple and spice. Quite enjoyin' it, really. 🥃😊
