Just poured a dram, smells faintly of varnish and butter, reminds me of apple orchards and freshly cut grass. Taste is very simple, minimalistic – barley water with a hint of Jelly Babies and a soft spot of tutti frutti spirit. Feels almost white, light, fresh, not trying to boast too much. Nice and easy 🥃

Had a wee dram of this last night, very basic but proper nice, no frills at all. Gooseberries pop up first, super fresh, then that green apple juice zing, little lemon zest kick too. There’s a hint of barley water, even a faint freshly cut grass herbaceousness in the back, almost feels close to new make but so easy drinking. Finish is quite long, brings apple to mind the whole time, almost has that tutti frutti spirit feel but super clean, no weird glue or varnish notes which is a win. Unlikely to end up in ridiculous crystal decanters anyway, just a solid weeknight dram to sip with a takeaway, no fuss 🥃

Nose is all green apple juice and gooseberries, with a hint of lemon zest that’s proper refreshing. On the tongue, it’s fruity but not in a fancy way – more like tutti frutti sweets mixed with barley water. There’s this herbal thing going on, like freshly cut grass, and a touch of varnish that’s a bit odd but not unpleasant. The texture’s soft, almost buttery, and it lingers quite long for something so simple. Not sure what’s with the glue note, but it’s there. Definitely close to new make – no heavy cask influence here. Minimalistic, yeah, but I’ve got a soft spot for it. Don’t boast too much, but it’s very nice in a straightforward way. 🍏✨

这酒挺基础的，但意外地不错！刚入口感觉特别新鲜，像刚酿出来的新酒。有点黄油般的柔滑感，突然冒出点柠檬皮的清脆和刚割过的青草香。麦芽味很含蓄，几乎不张扬。 喝着像草本植物泡的茶，又像小时候喝的大麦水。后面慢慢有些水果软糖的甜味，但整体非常简单。最后喉咙里留着点像清漆的微涩，和一点点青苹果汁的酸爽。 总的来说就是清爽直接，没什么复杂层次，但夏天来一杯应该挺舒服的～ 🌿
