Just had a dram of this and wow, it's superb 🥃. Colour's a deep gold, nose all honeyed – meadow honey, acacia honey, like a jar of summer. First sip: mellow, sweet, caramelised like crème brûlée. Then fruits: stewed peaches, quinces, peach liqueur, raisins, sultanas. Cognac XO gives a warm glow, with maple syrup, brown sugar, tarte tatin vibes. Honey-glazed roasted walnuts add crunch, and aftertaste still sweet with good maltiness. Hints of very ripe bananas, apples, even a touch of peanuts. Medium body, perfect for a relaxed evening 😊.

Just poured a dram and got hit with raisins and caramelised gold, reminds me of a warm tarte tatin straight from the oven. There’s a sweet honeyed thread, like meadow honey drizzled over honey‑glazed roasted walnuts, plus a touch of very ripe bananas and sultanas. The middle feels mellow with good maltiness and a whisper of brown sugar, then the aftertaste lingers like peach liqueur and a faint rum spice. Quite excellent, still sweet on the finish. 🍯

But then—bloody hell—there’s this little rum whisper at the back, almost like someone’s left a drop of old Jamaican in there. Unexpected, but it works. Aftertaste’s long and sweet, like stewed peaches with a dash of acacia honey. Crème brûlée crust on the tongue, then this lingering warmth that’s almost like a peach liqueur left to breathe. 🍑 And the raisins? Not overpowering, just there—like you’ve got a handful of dried fruit in your pocket, ready to nibble. Proper excellent stuff.

The aftertaste is smooth, with good cognac XO notes and a touch of maple syrup. Still sweet, but in a way that reminds me of crème brûlée – never too much. Apples and quinces in the background keep it balanced. Just a really enjoyable dram, perfect for a chilly evening. 🥃

Blimey, that’s a lovely autumn afternoon dram. First thing I get is this warm, still sweet honey and brown sugar sort of thing, right in the middle of the tongue. Then it mellow out into these really ripe bananas and stewed apples, almost like a warm tarte tatin. There’s a proper peach liqueur and a touch of cognac-like richness there too. The aftertaste is what gets me though – lingering on like honey-glazed roasted walnuts and a bit of caramelised papaya. Just gorgeous. 😊
