This one’s a proper treat – nectar-thick and glowing like liquid gold in the glass. First sniff hits you with stewed peaches and quinces, all caramelised and honeyed, like someone’s tarte tatin left to mature in a sunlit meadow. The taste? Sweet, but not cloying – more like crème brûlée meets very ripe bananas, with a whisper of peach liqueur dancing through it. There’s a good maltiness underneath, toasty and nutty, like honey-glazed roasted walnuts mingling with sultanas and raisins. It’s mellow, medium-bodied, but then the finish – oh, the finish – it’s excellent. Lingering warmth, still sweet with a hint of maple syrup and apples, almost like a splash of good cognac XO had a lovechild with a pot of acacia honey. Proper moreish, this. 🍯🥃

Tonight's dram feels like a warm autumn dessert. There's this lovely honeyed sweetness right away, a mix of meadow honey and acacia honey.
