Blimey, this one’s such a weird but lovely surprise 🤌 It’s a big and thick drink, fine glowy gold in the glass, doesn’t even taste like your standard whisky on the first sip. Got all these mentholy flavours, sauna oil, even a hint of lanoline like my grandad’s old work jumpers? Soft maraschino sweetness peeks through too, it’s very infuse-y, very extractive so all the notes just soak right in. Pretty pretty good honestly, long finish too, the flavours just linger on your palate for years. Only thing is you gotta rinse your glass super well after, the afternotes stick like nobody’s business 😂

This one's a proper mouthful – big and thick, like golden syrup poured into a sauna oil. The nose hits you with cedarwood and buckwheat, almost too extractive, but in a way that makes you lean in. First sip’s all menthol and maraschino, that sauna oil vibe again, but it’s got this very infuse-y thing going on that clings to your tongue. Not very 'whisky' at all, more like gin aged in pinewood with a dash of tarmac. Lingering on your palate for years, maybe? Definitely a fine dram, though it leaves me wondering – is this a malternative session or just a cruel dilemma? Either way, it’s pretty pretty good, but rinse your glass well after. You need a good ten minutes before the next one, trust me.

This one's a bit of a mind-bender, in a good way. First sip hits you with this strange mix of pine and paint – not unpleasant, just... odd. Like chewing on a pine needle dipped in turpentine. Then there's this buckwheat chewiness, almost savoury, undercut by maraschino sweetness. Menthol kicks in later, cooling the back of the throat like sauna oil. It's a big and thick drink, clings to your gob for good ten minutes, but the finish? Blimey, it lingers on your palate for years. Not very ‘whisky’ at all – more like gin aged in pinewood that’s decided to play dress-up. Cedarwood and lanolin make it feel weirdly waxy, but I can’t stop sniffing it. Fine, if you like your dram with a side of confusion. Rinse your glass well though – this one leaves a mark.

The smell is... well, it's a cruel dilemma. One second I'm getting strong pine and cedarwood, then a whiff of something like lanoline or even tarmac. Doesn't taste of what you'd normally call whisky at all, more like some gin that's been aged in pinewood barrels for a decade. The flavours are all over the place – sauna oil, a bit of maraschino cherry, and then this mentholly, terpene-y kick that sticks around. You need a good ten minutes with it just to take it all in. It's very infuse-y, almost medicinal. And mate, you better rinse your glass well afterwards, that aroma lingers on your palate for years. It's gold in the glass, I'll give it that. And honestly? After the initial shock, it's pretty pretty good. Not very 'whisky', but bloody interesting.

Golden colour, big and thick drink that coats the glass. It's a cruel dilemma really - not very 'whisky', not even rye whisky, more like a malternative session kind of thing. Maraschino cherry and paint somehow work together? Menthol comes through after a good ten minutes, alongside some sauna oil vibe. Long finish, and I mean LOOONG. Buckwheat comes out later too. Very extractive, honestly this stuff would linger on your palate for years 😅 It's fine, just... not what I expected reaching for a whisky bottle.
