Whiskyspace Notes 2361

This dram’s a pale gold, quite soft on the nose—think apple pie and overripe apples, with a sweet hint of pear juice and vanilla. There’s a touch of cinnamon and marshmallows lingering, like a nice dessert. On the palate, it’s really very gentle, sweet corn and popcorn mingling with cereals and porridge, while a bit of brioche and bread gives it some warmth. The fudge comes in late, subtle but nice. Sadly, it’s rather short and lacks body, ending clean but feeling a bit mundane. Still, the soft spices keep it pretty inoffensive. Not bad for a quiet night in.

Just had a dram that's pretty soft on the palate - reminds me of a bowl of cereal with too much milk, kinda sweet and a bit thin. There's vanilla and cinnamon dancing around, like apple pie filling left out too long, with these odd hints of popcorn and sweetcorn that make me think of autumn bonfires. It's fair enough, nice and easy like brioche and fresh bread, but honestly? A bit mundane. Doesn't pack much punch, more like overripe fruit and marshmallows floating in fudge. Not bad, just not memorable really. 🥃

Just a really gentle dram this one – clean and pretty inoffensive, though it does feel a bit short on the finish. There’s soft spices and vanilla dancing about, with touches of apple pie and porridge that remind me of a nice bowl of cereal on a lazy Sunday. Some brioche and sweet brioche notes float through, not too heavy, maybe a hint of overripe apples. It’s all rather soft and "nice" but not exactly mind-blowing – more of a easy sipper than anything with real oomph. Bit like drinking pear juice with a touch of fudge, if that makes sense.

It’s a nice golden colour in the glass. First whiff, I get overripe apples and cereals, like a morning porridge with some sliced fruit. A bit of pear juice sweetness comes through too. Tasting it, it’s quite soft and gentle on the palate. Feels a bit like soft brioche or warm bread, with a touch of vanilla and cinnamon spice. Reminds me a little of plum tarte or apple pie filling. For me, it lacks a bit of body though, and the finish is rather short. There’s a slight cardboardy dryness at the end. Some nice popcorn and marshmallow notes try to linger. Overall, it’s pretty inoffensive. A fair dram for an easy evening, nothing to complain about, just a little mundane perhaps. 🥃
