Ooh, this one’s a proper little adventure in a glass, innit? 🍯 First sip hits like warm sourdough fresh from the bakery, that dollop of honey melting right in. Then—bam—figs and walnuts dancing about, all nutty and rich, like a posh cheese board with a sweet mustardy kick. The liquorice sneaks up slow, like a shadow stretching long in the afternoon sun, while the Madeira whispers in the background, all winey and proper. Got a bit of cider’s sharpness cutting through, keeps it lively. And that pepper liqueur? Tiny zing at the end, like a wink. Feels like sitting in a proper old pub where the brewers know their stuff, glass clinking, mood just right. Very moreish, this one—wonderful dry structure holding it all together like a good Burgundy. Right-o, another sip then…

Just had a dram that’s proper lovely – hits you with this dollop of honey and a sweet mustardy touch right off the bat, like someone’s nicked a jar from the bakery. Then it dries out wonderfully, with walnuts and a whisper of liquorice, leaves you in a good mood. Reminds me of a very old riesling crossed with a brewer’s mishap, but in a rather rich way. There’s a strange straw-like sharpness and a hint of pepper liqueur that tingles the back of the throat. Extremely good, that. Right-o, I’m off for another.

Right-o, so this one's got this lovely honey and mead thing going on, almost like a fortified mead with a dollop of honey stirred in 🍯 There's a sweet mustardy touch that comes through, kind of unexpected but really pleasant. Reminds me of that old chouchen stuff my mate brought back from Brittany once. Then it opens up into this bakery vibe - think sourdough and wholegrain bread fresh from the oven, with a bit of baker's yeast hanging about. Proper comforting stuff. Getting some walnuts and figs in there too, like a nice walnut wine or something paired with a good Burgundy. Rich and long on the finish. There's a hint of pepper liqueur and liquorice that keeps it interesting, plus this orange cordial sweetness that balances everything out. Dry structure underneath all that richness, which I quite like. Honestly just puts me in a good mood 😊 Could sip this all evening with a bit of cheese and a good book. Extremely good stuff like a very old riesling crossed with some proper Madeira. Cheers! 🥃

This dram’s got a right-o warmth to it, pours a deep amber that catches the light like old Madeira. First sip brings this rather rich sweetness, almost like figs stewed with orange cordial, but then there’s a sharp twist of apple vinegar cutting through. Lovely bready depth from the baker’s yeast base, with a whisper of walnut wine and honeyed mead lingering. The pepper liqueur gives it a slow-building kick, not too fierce, just enough to make you sit up straight. Got a wonderful dry structure rounding it all off, and that sweet mustardy touch keeps popping up in the back of my throat. Proper complex, like a long chat over cider and straw at the pub. Leaves me in a proper good mood, thinking of autumn afternoons and bakery windows. 🥃

The finish is proper long, kind of nutty with a hint of walnut wine and orange cordial dancing about. Oh, and a subtle kick of pepper liqueur sneaks in near the end – brilliant. Feels like it’d pair lovely with a wedge of apple vinegar-sharp cheddar, but honestly, I’m just grinning like a fool. Extremely good, this one. 😋
