Whiskyspace Notes 1995

Right, so this one's proper mad — the beer character completely takes over the whisky, honestly. First thing I got was this rich fruity hit, blackberries and some fresh strawberries vibes, almost like a fresher fruitcake someone's just pulled from the oven. There's a definite earthy side to it too, mixed with these tangerine-y hop notes that scream fruity IPA. 😄 The mouthfeel is quite neat, got this subtle fattish sourness lurking in there, kinda pleasant actually. The finish hangs around for ages — proper long — and you keep getting these meadow flowers and golden fruit notes drifting back. Water it down a touch and the stout character starts peeking through, makes it a very pleasant concoction altogether. Beer-heavy for sure, almost like someone's done a proper Belgo-Japanese experiment with it. Brewdog energy, if you know what I mean 🍺 Honestly? It's a mad little dram but I'm not complaining.
