Cambus Distillery, founded in 1836 by John Moubray in Alloa, Clackmannanshire, became Scotland's largest and most important Coffey Still grain whisky distillery. A devastating fire in June 1914 destroyed the facility, forcing a closure that lasted until its reconstruction in 1938. The distillery played a pivotal role in supplying grain whisky for major blends throughout the 20th century. Owned by UDV (United Distillers & Vintners), predecessor to Diageo, Cambus was officially mothballed in 1993. As a 'silent distillery,' remaining stocks have become exceptionally rare and highly prized by collectors, representing a crucial chapter in Scotland's grain whisky heritage.

Cheers mate! 🥃 This dram starts off a bit smoky, but then you get these lovely fruity notes – like a burst of citrus and berries. 🍓 Really smooth going down, with a hint of vanilla and honey sweetness. 🍯 It's got that rich, complex feel, almost like a warm hug on a cold night. 🔥 A touch of peaty earthiness comes through at the end, with some spicy kick. Quite malty and classic, I'd say. The oak influence is subtle but nice. 🌲 Overall, a proper satisfying sip. Don't mind if I have another! 😊

Right then, had a wee dram tonight. 🥃 Smells proper sweet, like caramel and vanila. Feels warm going down, oaky wood vibes 🪵 Finish lingers abit, makes you feel cozy. Not too harsh, smooth enough for a tuesday nite. Definetly worth the sip. Cheers mates! 🍻
