Whiskyspace Notes 2118

Ah, this one’s got a real character. First nose hits you with this smoky cereals and sootiness, like a bonfire in a grain store. Then there’s a sweet cereal bars vibe, almost like golden syrup and caramelised oatmeal melting together. The palate’s got a bit of runny honey and creme brulée sweetness, but it’s not cloying—there’s a drier edge, like overlooked whiskies I’ve had before. Some limoncello and lime pith cuts through, bright and zesty, while old herbal liqueurs and bitter herbal extracts linger. Watermelon? Yeah, weirdly refreshing undertones, like a gin and tonic sorbet on a summer day. The finish’s long and oily, with a touch of salted peanuts and mead, and that phenolic sooty note stays with you. Weirdly satisfying, like eating sweet children’s medicine with a side of pine cones. Not sure what to make of it, but it’s great.
