The first thing that hits you is that lovely pale gold color, and the nose is all about vanilla and wood – like a massive vanilla cake with a hint of pinewood dust. On the palate, it’s medium-bodied, smooth as olive and argan oils, with this brioche and bread thing going on. There’s a layer of milk chocolate and roasted hazelnuts dancing around, but it’s not Nutella – more like praline in a bottle. The wood makes the whisky feel rounded, not too sharp, and it sits in those good bourbon territories with a sweet, oaky finish. LOL, this one’s got character. 🥃
