Strathclyde distillery, a major grain whisky producer in Glasgow, Scotland, was acquired by New York-based Schenley Industries in 1956. Schenley made substantial investments in the facility, most notably adding a single malt whisky brand called Kinclaith in 1958. This unusual move integrated a malt whisky still within a grain whisky complex. Kinclaith operated for a relatively brief period until 1975, making it one of Scotland's rarest single malts. The whisky was primarily used for blending, with very few official bottlings released, though some independent bottlings exist, making it highly sought after by collectors.

Quite cosy, this one 🙂 I get soft vanilla, a bit of honey, some dried fruit, and a gentle oaky spice. Feels warm without being too heavy — nice wee sip for a quiet evening.

Bit of caramel and dried fruit up front, then a wee spicy warmth comes through. Feels cosy, slightly smoky, with a soft oak finish. Quite easy to sip on a chilly evening 🥃✨

Ah right, this one's a bit all over the shop, innit? 🥃 Gettin' some proper nutty notes, kinda like roasted almonds. Then there's this warm, spicy kick... bit of cinnamon maybe? Oh, and a subtle smokiness in there too. Like a campfire in the distance. Quite pleasant, really. Finish is dry, with a hint of... I wanna say dried fruit? Or maybe just toasty oak. Cheers! 🥃

Proper lush this one! Rich and smooth with notes of oak and vanilla. 🥃 A bit of honey sweetness and peat smoke hits the nose. The spice and caramel linger on the palate. Really enjoyd it! 😊

Nose kinda sweet, like caramel apples 🍂 but with a spicy kick. Palate has this warming, oakyness. Hints of dried fruit n' maybe a bit of honey. Really frendly on the tounge. Finish is long, leaves a cozy feeling. Warming spices, a little bit of vanilla. Makes me wanna sip it slowly by a fire 🔥 Theres somethin' kinda floral in there too, but I cant put my finger on it. Reminds me of a walk in the woods.
