Blimey this dram is absolutely wonderful 🥃 Got that lovely fresh lemon marmalade hit first, then hints of quinces, orange zests and even a little banana note? Wait no, more like ripe figs, with that lovely rounded farminess and a touch of dill and dry hay, like walking through a farmer’s orchard after a garden bonfire. There’s warm spice, a bit of pepper, honey, and that rich gold colour that looks so good in the glass. The body is perfect, rounder than I expected, fairly long finish too, with subtle pine sap and light grass smoke, even a little Cointreau-like citrus zing and a hint of liquorice. So complex and fresh, no overly oaky or dry edge at all, just that lovely sexiness of well-made spirit that keeps you reaching for another sip. Properly lovely, would happily have this any time. 😌

Mate, just sat down with this dram after a long day pottering in the garden and bloody hell, it’s absolutely wonderful 🤌 Nose first hits you with fresh lemon marmalade, hay, a little dill and bright orange zest, right? Liquid’s that deep gold too, looks lovely. Then you take a sip – perfect body, so rounded and rich, no harsh oaky dryness at all. Got sweet banana and honey notes, mixed with warm spices, dried fruits, figs and quinces, then a little pepper kick and strong mint to cut through all the richness. The finish is fairly long, lingers with soft leathery notes, a whiff of garden bonfire smoke, a touch of farminess and even that weirdly good salty gravlax tang? So complex and rounder than the last one I tried, total sexiness in a glass 🥃 There’s even a wisp of grass smoke tucked in there too, chef’s kiss

This dram’s got this grassy smoke wafting up first, but the oak doesn’t hit you like a brick – it’s more subtle, which is nice. On the tongue, it’s richer and rounded, with dried fruits and quinces mingling in. There’s a peppery kick and some spices that make me think of Gravlax, maybe with a touch of dill. The orange zest adds a fresh zing, and a banana sweetness lingers at the end. It’s complex without being dry or oaky – really excellent, that one.

第一口那股金灿灿的蜂蜜味就扑面而来，像是刚从草地上滚了一圈似的，带着点青草烟和松脂的清新。接着是柑橘皮的酸爽，还有那股子新鲜的青柠檬果酱味，跟着来一丝干果的甜腻，像是晒在阳光下的无花果和香蕉片。 过了一会儿，草药味就出来了——不是那种刺鼻的，而是带点芬芳的小茴香和泥煤的余韵，像是刚在花园篝火旁坐了一会儿。舌尖上还藏着一抹皮革的细腻，像是老皮椅的味道，但又不生硬。 回味那会儿，橙皮和肉桂的香气在口腔里打转，像是喝了点柑橘味的鸡尾酒，但又不像Cointreau那么甜腻。最后是一丝淡淡的薄荷和干草的余韵，在舌根处挥之不去，够长，够圆润。 整体就是那种丰富又不张扬的感觉，像是一杯喝到一半的下午茶，但又带着点威士忌的劲头 🍯🔥

The oak comes out more than I expected, but it’s not harsh; it’s richer and smoother, mingling with figs, quinces and a touch of dried fruits. A flash of lemon marmalade and orange zest brightens it up, while a whisper of strong mint and dill adds a curious savoury twist, almost like a bite of gravlax. There’s also a subtle pepper‑kick, a bit of liquorice and a hint of banana that keeps the flavour complex yet surprisingly fresh. The finish is fairly long, warm and a little sexy, leaving a lingering note of hay and a soft echo of Cointreau. 🌿🥃
