Had a dram earlier that was bizarrely salty with a little smoke, reminded me of straw and fresh almonds. There’s a hint of brine, almost like sardines and bits of pickled anchovies, but balanced with sweet notes of milk chocolate, plums, pears and yellow peaches. The finish is rather long, orchard fruits in abundance and cakes aplenty, lovable and not unpleasant at all. Extremely good fun, even if it feels a bit uncertain at first. 😄

bloody hell, this one’s a right laugh innit? 🥃 Lightly peated, no heavy peat at all, just that little smoke from a seaside bonfire. Got orchard fruits in abundance, fresh almonds, crisp apples, juicy pears, plums, even a stray sardine note peeking through the fruit? Bits of pickled anchovies pop out of nowhere, that’s so bizarre, but wait there’s even more brine too, that salty little kick somehow works? Then nougat, milk chocolate, cakes aplenty, even a whiff of straw and BB hoggies? Something a little uncertain about the whole vibe but it’s extremely good, good fun overall, who’d have thought a whisky could be this lovable chaotic mess?

bloody hell, this one’s such a good laugh 😂 no peat at all, loads of orchard fruits — apples, pears, yellow peaches bursting right out the glass then you get all the sweet bits: nougat, milk chocolate, fresh almonds, plums, cakes aplenty swooping in weirdly there’s these little pickled anchovy, sardine salty brine notes popping up too? sounds absolutely bizarre but it’s so lovable, not unpleasant at all even a tiny wisp of little smoke, and weird little BB hoggies savoury bits tucked in the back? there’s something a little uncertain lingering, rather long finish with even more brine bloody extremly good, such good fun to sip on

Took a sip the other night and it’s proper lovable, that one. Loads of orchard fruits – pears, apples, yellow peaches, proper jammy plums – all bouncing about like a fruit cake explosion. There’s this milk chocolate and nougat sweetness too, almost like a dessert in a glass. The brine creeps in, mind, with sardines and a bit of pickled anchovy weirdness – bizarre but not overpowering. Not a peat monster by any stretch, just a whisper of smoke if you’re lucky. The finish is rather long, leaves this curious ‘something a little uncertain’ feeling, like BB hoggies and fresh almonds having a quiet argument. Salty touches keep it grounded, and somehow it all feels like good fun. Extremely good, but I’d have it again for the quirkiness alone 🥃

刚抿了一口，先是有点咸，像海风拂过的感觉… 带着点海盐的咸，但又有蛋糕般的甜蜜涌上来。嗯？还有点BBQ烧烤的影子？ 说不清是啥，有点奇怪的混合。 慢慢品，杏仁糖和新鲜杏仁的味道出来了，混着李子和梨子的清香。整体很讨喜，余味挺长的，嘴里暖暖的 🤔 没泥煤味，但这份复杂感… 这组合有点怪，但真的挺喜欢。
