Just poured a dram and got hit with big, fat, syrupy and swollen fruitiness – superbly fruity, with orange juice, mango and a whisper of bitter marmalade. There's a lovely crystallised exotic and citrus fruit vibe, almost like sherbet lemons with wee threads of honey. A touch of grappa‑like sharpness and thicker notes of camphor linger, while the grassy side feels wonderfully nervous and direct. The finish is long, with orange coloured flavours and a polished cereal core rather oily, keeping it luscious. A funny mix of styles but it works.
