Nose is all citrusy brightness first – pink grapefruits and this zesty tropical fruits extravaganza leaps right out, almost like someone cracked open a bag of banana-flavoured jellybeans! There's these lovely whiffs of eucalyptus tea and moss hanging about, maybe even a hint of broken branches from some old dram I tried ages back, but then the sweets kick in – vanilla fudge and marshmallows swirling together, proper moreish. First sip's chiselled, sharp, but in a good way, with fresh fruits dancing on the tongue. It's even fruitier than I expected, a tad grassier too, and the finish? Long, lingering, like it don't wanna let go. This one's unbeatable in its category – just gets better with each sip, mmm... 🥃✨

This one's got that dark straw glow, very inviting. First sip – oh lovely! – it's crisper than the 1992, with this nice zing of citrus blah-blah and juicy tropical fruits. There's a wee touch of wood smoke and salt, like a sea breeze cutting through. The earthiness lingers in the aftertaste, not too heavy, more like gentle moss on old stones. Notes of gentian eau-de-vie add something herbal, and a hint of liquorice wood gives it depth. Plenty of lemon, but not overpowering – more bright than sharp. It's got that straighter feel, medium length, and a bit zestier than I expected. Not quite 'a blade', but close enough to make you smile. One grain per litre, but it’s smooth, no harsh edges. No white zin here, just clean, vibrant stuff. Green tea blah-blah in the background, subtle. Really enjoyed even more with a second pour – the kind you’d want to savour on a quiet evening. 🥃
