Blimey, this one’s an absolute belter 🤤 Picked up from a selected individual cask, matured in an oak cask, not subjected to any filtration – totally free from all additives, not treated to change its colour, not diluted with water, just proper natural state, authentic product through and through. Dry first hit, then salty smoky tarry notes, even a whiff of coal tar, followed by that old-school sherry punch – what a sherry, unbelievable sherry honestly. Layers of intensely chocolatey, truffle richness, meaty depth like glorious broth, rich as slow-cooked beef stock with bone marrow, even a hint of hoisin sauce fit for Paul Bocuse, with a little gamey kick and fresh parsley lift. Long and salty aftertaste, Liquorice salted to the hilt, chestnut, pecan and walnut notes stay firmly at the helm, with a zing of finger lime citrus and a ristretto coffee finish at the end. Magnificent, what a beast 😍
