Blimey, this one’s got a proper punch—like a beast in a glass. Starts off with this superb start, all peat and smoke hitting you like a freight train. Then it’s got this greatly bitterish aftertaste that lingers, but in a good way. The nose is odd—like walnut wine and old-style perfume mixed with a salty tang, maybe some tobacco and chocolate lurking in there. It’s not unlike the official 10, but more… restless? Like it’s got ideas of Madeira and herbal liqueurs and god knows what else dancing on the tongue. The 1988 vintage gives it this nutmeg and orange blossom edge, while the ex-Islay cask adds a punchy Islayer intensity. Tastes bloody huge, honestly. Leather, patchouli, a hint of ginger liqueur—it’s a right medley. The finish is long and more power than the Archives version, with this perfect balance of sherry cask? and bacon and kumquats. Properly impressive, this. 🥃🔥

Blimey, where do I even start with this one. Poured myself a dram tonight and it's just... impressively restless, honestly. Keeps shifting on you. First thing I got was this old-style perfume vibe — reminded me a bit of my nan's dressing table, but in a good way? Then the walnuts came through, followed by something chocolatey and this salty ultra-dry sherry thing that just grabs you. 🤯 There's definitely a sherry cask in here somewhere, I'd bet money on it. Nutmeg and a touch of patchouli too — feels like Joy de Patou in liquid form, god knows what else they threw in at the distillery. Really huge on the palate, like a proper beast of a dram. The more smoke creeps in as you go, and there's this herbal liqueur thing happening alongside what I swear is ginger liqueur. Superb start, honestly. Not unlike the official 10 but taken to another level — tobacco, walnuts again, just layers and layers. Saw it was an Archives version, 1988 vintage, ex-Islay cask apparently. Whoever this fearless Limburgian squad are, they've done something special. Great find, this one. Absolute gold. 🥃 Perfect for a quiet evening in. Might have to go back for another...

Big, smoky and a bit wild 😮‍💨 Loads of dark chocolate, walnuts, peat and a salty kick. Gets herbal too, like ginger liqueur, tobacco and a whiff of old perfume. Long bitter finish, quite punchy, but properly fun.

Right then, this whisky's got a proper rich start, innit? 🥃 Sort of smoky with a bit of peat, like a bonfire in the countryside. Then it eases into sweet honey and vanilla – quite comforting, like a warm hug on a chilly day. 🍯 A hint of spice at the end, maybe cinnamon? Smooth as anything, really. Lovely stuff for a quiet evening. 😊

Right, had a wee dram of this tonite. 🥃 Nose is proper lovely, hints of hunny and sum fruit maybe? 🍯 Taste is rich, warming going down. Bit of spice on the tonge. Finish lingers nicely. Dont know what else to say really. Definatly proper good stuff for a rainy evening. 🌧️ Cheers mate. 🍻
