Blimey, cracked this open after work last night 🥃 The very pretty bottle has that lovely warm gold look, looks right ace sat on the kitchen counter. First sip’s all crushed cherries and all kinds of plums, propur deep fruits of a vicarage garden in the heart of Europe vibes, like you’ve wandered into a fancy continental allotment or summat. Then you get that zing of artisanal apple juice mixed with apples and pears, reminds me a bit of those homemade fruit wines my mate’s nan used to make, but way smoother. There’s a touch of shortbread and a bit of marzipan peeking through the fruit too, so rich without being sickly. Finish is quite long too, leaves that fruity warmth hanging around for ages. Dead nice for a quiet evening in tbh.

There’s a soft hop note too, reminds me of lazy summer afternoonss. Tastes deeply of all the fruits from a vicarage garden right in the heart of Europe, honestly. None of the horrors they sell in cans or on tap here, that’s for sure. The finish is quite long too, leaves that warm fruity vibe hanging around for ages.

Just poured a dram that glows gold in the glass, reminds me of a very pretty bottle on a sunny shelf. First sip hits fresh almonds and walnuts, then a burst of apples and pears with a hint of apple peels, like walking through a vicarage garden in the heart of Europe. There’s a tiny bit of cardboard and paraffin in the background, but it’s balanced by crushed cherries and all kinds of plums, finishing quite long with a touch of marzipan and dark chocolate. Definitely none of the horrors you get from cans or tap, more like a rough cider meets fruit wine vibe. 🍏

A bit like scrumping apples as a kid, that comeback of apples and apple peels. Even reminded me of rough cider at the village fete 🍎 Get some walnuts and fresh almonds in there too, with just a touch of dark chocolate. Rather like a decent slice of shortbread with your afternoon tea — proper black tea, mind you, none of that wishy-washy stuff. The finish is quite long. Keeps going with these little hints of something herbal — almost like rowan berry liqueur, maybe a whisper of hops?
