Then there’s this weirdly good mix of mint tea, crushed bitter almonds, even a hint of Barbour grease and sea air, like you’ve just been wandering a Scottish coast in a wax jacket. There’s that little antiseptic tickle, then sweeter fruit notes from the American oak come through, plus a long, salty, damp chalk finish. Fucking hell it’s like crunching a lemon in a new scuba suit mid-beach walk, even the faint mint and cough syrup aftertaste works so well honestly 😂

Justpoured a dram and got a whiff of sea air and damp chalk, then a pop of grapefruit bonbons and mint tea on the nose. The palate hits ultra‑chiselled lemony peat with a touch of new rubber and camphor, finishing fairly sweeter with vanilla and a hint of banana sweets? Quite a long, sharp aftertaste – totally sharp! 🌊

Right, nosed this proper peated one and honestly it took me straight back to the coast of Islay 🌊. Loads of sea air and moss, with that damp chalkiness that just sits in your nostrils. First got this weird Barbour grease and new rubber combo, like someone left their wetsuit drying on the harbour wall 😂 Taste hit hard — Totally sharp! Extremely spiky lemon that just doesn't let up, like crunching a lemon wearing a new scuba diving suit honestly. Grapefruit bonbons and lime juice bouncing around but then you get these softer sweeter fruits from the American oak creeping in, banana sweets maybe, even a whisper of pear drops? 🍬 Mint tea vibes later on with camphor and a bit of cough syrup which sounds awful but it's oddly comforting. Vanilla tries to smooth things over but the lemony keeps punching through. The long aftertaste is mint and lemon lingering around for ages. Not an easy drink but absolutely brilliant if you're into that ultra-chiselled peaty richness. Just poured myself another wee dram 🥃.

Then the mint comes through, fresh, like mint tea after a swim, and there’s this salty sea air vibe right in the middle. Pear drops and banana sweets pop up here and there, sweet but not cloying. The vanilla from the American oak is there, weaving through it all. A hint of damp chalk and moss, maybe a bit of Barbour grease from the garage. New rubber and camphor too, weirdly comforting. The finish is super long, totally chiselled, lemony and coastal, with a whisper of bitter almonds. Quite a ride. 🚤
