Just gave it a go last night and it’s much improved – a bright gold colour that catches the light. The first sip is sweet caramel and a rustic feel, like sitting in an old shed with bay leaves hanging from the rafters. There’s a whiff of metal polish and a metallic edge that sneaks in, but it’s balanced by a hint of rosehip tea and a dash of orange zest. As it opens up you get cranberries and walnut skins, a touch of honeyed pecans and a quirky caper note, even a faint tomato‑leaf afterthought. The bitter aftertaste lingers a bit, but the lovely earthy side and a bit of liquorice keep it interesting. Fairly long finish, quite nice overall 😊
