Blimey, this is such a cracking littel number 🥃 Nose is all golden, nutty nougat, fresh orange zing, sharp kumquat marmalade, toasted warm brioche, oaked vanilla, hint of dry hay and earthy humus, even a faint whiff of sweet cigarette tobacco if you lean in close, plus a subtle fresh tea edge. First sip’s that proper malty arrival, central Scotch malt backbone with ginger, honey cake and a flash of tarte tatin / apple pie vibrancy. Impressive body, not too heavy, medium length finish that lingers with crème brûlée, Ovaltine maltiness and a little fresh coffee kick. The aftertaste just keeps that warm malted vibe going. Perfect malty and honeyed all-rounder, honestly excellent stuff, tastes like it’s from up Braes way. Would happily have this any evening ☕️

Just tried this whisky and it's lovely! 🥃 The first thing I get is a sweet, malty arrival, like warm brioche with a café latte vibe. There's a golden, oily feel, and I pick up nutty, ginger, and vanilla notes – sort of like apple pie and honey cake. The aftertaste has tea-like warmth and vibrancy, with hints of Ovaltine and fresh coffee. It's a perfect malty and honeyed all-rounder, really satisfying. 😊

There’s a central Scotch malt character, a bit of hay and earthy humus underneath. Then it shifts into sweeter notes – reminds me of apple pie and tarte tatin, with a touch of marmalade and Ovaltine. There’s a fresh coffee and café latte vibe that comes through too, with a hint of kumquat for vibrancy. Finishes medium length, leaving a perfect malty and honeyed all-rounder feel. Quite cosy, this one. Getting soft fruit, a bit of toffee, light spice and a wee smoky edge. Feels warm and easy-going, with a gentle sweet finish 😊 Slighly moreish.
