Right, this one's proper interesting. Really punchy stuff for a nano-batch — wonder if there were only nine bottles made or something 😄 Got this lovely deep gold colour in the glass. First thing I noticed was the mocha and some green spices coming through, then suddenly it shifts into this quince jelly and bottled apricot juice vibe. Very complex indeed. There's a bit of green curry lurking in there too, almost like a touch of chilli paste — zestier than I expected. The oak's quite present, giving it that sharper edge, and I'm picking up something that reminds me of beef bouillon which sounds odd but works somehow. Williams pears show up later, almost like pear cider or poiré, with a little tart finish. Some wax polish and a hint of menthol too — got that prickly side to it. Honestly reminds me of those Karuizawas people rave about — that green curry note with the mocha is just fun 🍐 Long finish, stays with you. Very punchy overall but there's a rounded fruity side hiding underneath. Bloody good stuff this one.
