This dram’s a pale gold, quite soft on the nose—think apple pie and overripe apples, with a sweet hint of pear juice and vanilla. There’s a touch of cinnamon and marshmallows lingering, like a nice dessert. On the palate, it’s really very gentle, sweet corn and popcorn mingling with cereals and porridge, while a bit of brioche and bread gives it some warmth. The fudge comes in late, subtle but nice. Sadly, it’s rather short and lacks body, ending clean but feeling a bit mundane. Still, the soft spices keep it pretty inoffensive. Not bad for a quiet night in.
