첫 모금에 바다 냄새가 확 퍼졌어요. clams, seaweed, fresh shellfish 같은 맛이 나더니, 잠깐 strawberry cream 같은 달콤함이 스치더라고요. 근데 곧 coal tar와 flint의 강렬함이 brutal하게 밀려왔어요. 마치 seawater와 cockles를 한 입에 먹은 것처럼. 🌊 2024년에 profile이 없다는 건 아쉽지만, 이 맛은 정말 독특해요. drifting past the maltings 같은 느낌이 들고, 15XX casks에서 나왔는지 꽤 복잡해요. 그리고 massive arrival of ashes doused in lemon juice? 이거 장난 아니에요. 🍋 Scottish equivalent of bird’s-eye chilli 같은 매운 힌트도 있고, detergent and solvent 같은 화학적 뉘앙스도 살짝. 근데 preserved lemon 같은 상큼함이平衡을 잡아줘요. 전체적으로 ultra-taut하고 engineered to the millimetre 같은 정밀함이 있어요. admirably restrained cask influence로 인해 나무 맛이 너무 강하지 않아서 좋았어요. raw edge와 basalt 같은 미네랄感도 있고, Quite amusing한 경험이었어요. 🥂
