Blimey, this one’s a real treat – dark gold in the glass, like liquid honey under a sunset. The nose hits you first with this mad mix of bananas, mangos and passion fruits, all mashed up like a tropical fruit salad, but there’s this proper sherry kiss giving it depth. Not too sweet though, more like Demerara sugar and raisins with a twist of orange marmalade. First sip’s dangerously drinkable, I tell ya – smooth but with a tad more complex punch than you’d expect. There’s this mineral thing going on, almost like licking a stone, and a notch more saline that makes it feel alive. The sherry influence keeps everything rounded, but it’s the earthy touches and pollen that sneak up on you – weirdly brilliant. Medium long finish, leaves you chasing that fruit cloud again. What a glory, this. Feels like it could’ve been bottled in 2015 and still shine today. Definitely one for the stars. 🌟
