倒出来是淡金色的，看着挺清爽。闻起来有醋栗和猕猴桃那种微酸的果香，混着点新鲜薄荷和香茅草的味道，甚至让我想起祖母做的大黄挞 😋。 二十五年陈年但用的是有些害羞的重填木桶，所以不那么张扬。有些许黏土和粉笔的矿物感，但波本桶带来了很好的圆润度来平衡。 喝下去口感有点棱角，微微紧张，但随即是香草和青梅的甜香。收尾挺长，带点酸木和微甜的龙舌兰糖浆联想，整体风格我很喜欢。

Gosh, this one’s crisp and alive. First thing I get is a burst of green fruits – greengages, gooseberries, even a squeeze of lemon. There’s a lovely hint of lemongrass and spearmint in there too, really fresh. With water, it blossoms into something rounder, like a big slice of rhubarb tarte with a dollop of vanilla cream. That bourbon wood gives it a nice, smooth backing, a sort of friendly roundness underneath all that nervy energy. The finish is surprisingly long, with a tart, chalky note that reminds me of a good, sharp chenin blanc. It’s a dram with real character – not the loudest one in the world, but full of good surprises. That’s what I enjoy. 🍋🍑

Right, so poured a dram of this one — pale gold colour, caught the light nicely. First whiff was proper interesting: got this lemongrass and greengages thing, then some stone fruit, maybe peaches? And a bit of that rhubarb tartness lurking underneath. Taste-wise, it's got an interesting sort of angle to it — quite bright with lemons and gooseberries, almost a green pepper hint? But then there's this lovely roundness from the wood, softens it out. Touch of vanilla and something like cardamom or spearmint. Definitely some kiwi and a whisper of agave sweetness in there too. Finish hangs about for ages, keeps giving you little changes — clay notes, some sour wood, then back to that orchard fruit. Really enjoyable drop, full of good surprises. 👍

Poured a dram that was pale gold, almost like weak tea with a drop of honey. 🥃 First thing on the nose was this chalky, clay-like minerality. Then came the fruit – ripe peaches, greengages, and a little kiwi tang. Not loud, more of a quiet background hum. The spirit itself... well, it's not the most boisterous in the world, if you know what I mean. It felt a bit angular, a touch nervous on the tongue at first. But then it softened, thanks to that roundness from the bourbon wood. It's got this lovely fresh, almost tart quality. I'm getting lemons, lemongrass, and maybe some rhubarb? A bit like a large rhubarb tarte, with a hint of natural vanilla and cardamom. There's a sour wood note too, which actually works. It’s saved from being too simple, though. There are good surprises – a drop of agave syrup sweetness, spearmint freshness, even something that reminds me of a fresh 10yo cognac. The finish is rather long. Apparently it spent 25 years in shy refill wood, from an ex-future-Royal Salute 25 posh cask. 👀 The style is one I always enjoy. An excellent cask, really. Impeccable, in its own quiet way.

Quite a lively dram, this one 🙂 Lots of lemon, kiwi and green plum, with a wee chalky, clay-like edge. Minty freshness too, a bit of green pepper, then some soft bourbon sweetness rounds it off. Not hugely loud, but nicely put together, with a pleasantly long, slightly sour-wood finish. Nice surprise tbh.
