Hada dram that reminded me of walking through a pine forest after rain, a little malolactic tang like beeswax on the tongue, with a Meursaulty side of moist white nougat and a hint of pistachio syrup. 🌲🍯 The finish stayed a little oaky, almost like oak turning into pine, with a drying peppery edge and even more tannicity. Think poached pears in Sauternes, goji berries and a drizzle of maple over ripe apples, all wrapped in full gold colour. A touch of sorb and pollens gave it a strange alchemy, though the finish curbed my enthusiasm a bit. Still a good one, reminiscent of those 15‑year‑old bottles with myriads of small berries and raisins.
