Bloody hell, this is a beast! 🔥 First sniff hits like a punch—big, rich sherry leather, star anise dancing with black tea and dried flowers. Then the palate? Hot as hell, peppery like Szechwan gone mad, but with this weird gamey broth funk underneath. Maggi cubes and bouillon powder everywhere, heavy umami like a dodgy instant ramen. Dried fruits—figs, apricots—all crystallised and jammy, but then it turns herbal, like cough syrup mixed with black tea. Blood orange zest cuts through, but the finish? Jagged as hell, long and drying, with flower pollens clinging to the back of your throat. Water just blooms more dried flowers, which is nice at first but then it’s like sniffing a posh funeral wreath. Tobacco leaf, mushroom powder, a hint of blood orange bitterness—it’s all over the place but somehow... works? Like a mad scientist’s cocktail. The neat nose alone’s worth the price, but sip it neat and you’ll be coughing like it’s 2005 all over again.
