Monde Shuzou 10 Years Single Malt Whisky

Monde Shuzo, located in Katsunuma-cho, Yamanashi Prefecture, is a unique player in Japan's spirits industry. Founded in 1952 as a winery in the country's premier wine region, the company began whisky production in 1967. Unlike dedicated whisky distilleries, Monde Shuzo maintains its primary identity as a wine producer, applying enological expertise to its whisky-making process. This dual approach creates distinctive expressions that blend Scottish whisky traditions with Japanese winemaking sensibilities. Their limited-production whiskies are prized by collectors seeking authentic Japanese craft spirits.
