This one hits tough at first, but then… truckloads of ultra-ripe peaches everywhere. A bit of chalk underneath, like chalk and clay after rain. Overall it’s pretty clean, though. Bet it’d pair ace with some sour wines, that sorta thing.
Definitely a better one, way superior to many other indie Macduffs I’ve tried from similar vintages. There’s flints in there too, a touch of muddiness that’s actually interesting. Some ‘maderise’ notes creep in – feels quite rustic.
I get sultanas, maybe on raisins and triple-sec towards the end. Not bad at all. 😊
