This dram’s got a proper amber glow, like sunlight through stained glass. First sip hits with this rich, almost oily weight – think salted butter melting on warm scones. There’s dried raisins and a touch of orange zest dancing about, sweet but not cloying, with a whisper of Madeira notes lingering like a half-remembered song. Then, outta nowhere, these Magnificent peppers kick in, peppery and bold, like someone slipped a surprise into your black tea. The finish is long and herbal, with hints of absinthe and beef jerky, weirdly comforting, like a stew your gran might make. Chen-pi and Fig jam sit in the background, earthy and sweet, while Japanese sweet sauce and teriyaki add this umami twist that’s proper intriguing. It’s excellent in a way that feels both familiar and strange, like finding a bourbon-soaked walnut in your honey cake. Very elegant, but with a backbone.

Blimey, this one's got some proper depth! 🥃 First thing I get is that slightly varnish-y note mixed with black tea – sounds weird but it just works somehow. Then there's walnuts and dried raisins coming through, almost like a Christmas cake sort of vibe. The pepper hit is magnificent though, seriously long finish that just lingers on 🔥 And I reckon there's some bourbon influence in the background, plus a bit of that Japanese sweet sauce thing going on – adds this lovely sweetness without being cloying. Honey cake and salted butter come next, really comforting stuff. There's a herbal edge too, something like absinthe maybe? Bit of chen-pi as well if I'm not mistaken. The amber colour is gorgeous in the glass. Properly rich and complex this one. Each sip seems to reveal something different 👌

Just had this whisky – quite a ride. Very elegant from the start, with rich honeyed notes, dried raisins, and a bourbon-like sweetness. The Madeira influence was clear, along with honey cake and fig jam. Then a surprise: teriyaki and Japanese sweet sauce? Interesting. Peppery and orange zest on the palate, with black tea and absinthe nuances. The broths made it savoury, reminiscent of beef jerky. Positive OBE added to the complexity, and hints of chartreuse came through. Excellent stuff. 😊

一开瓶就有种草本和陈皮混合的香气飘出来，带着点absinthe那种清苦又提神的感觉。 喝起来先是黑胡椒的辛辣感，但很快就被蜂蜜蛋糕的甜润盖过去了，有点像在吃那种咸黄油饼干配果酱。 中段突然蹦出乌梅和杏脯的酸甜，还夹着一丝黑茶的涩感，挺有意思的。 尾韵居然能喝出牛肉干的鲜味，混着干无花果和草药味，后劲儿里胡椒的辛辣又回来了，但一点都不冲。 整体非常优雅，完全没想到能有这种组合，喝到最后嘴角还留着海盐黄油的咸鲜感，蛮惊喜的 😌

Quite warm and cosy, with a bit of honey, oak and dried fruit coming through. Feels smooth-ish, slightly spicy, and leaves a nice wee glow 😊 Bit of citrus at the end too, which keeps it from feeling too heavy.
