Just poured a dram and the nose hits you with a burst of marmalade and tangerine, then a hint of herbal teas that feels oddly clean. On the palate it’s medium‑body, chocolate and dried fruits mingling with apricot jam and a touch of blackcurrant jam, while a wee bit of sour wood keeps it from getting too sweet. There’s a subtle coconut whisper and a gentle walnut grain, plus a faint tobacco edge that reminds me of sherry talking in the background. It’s ballistic on many honeys but somehow the balance was kept perfect, leaving a soft, lingering finish that feels like overripe mirabelles on a summer evening. 😊

Wow, that nose—like a hug from a sherry cask! Rich chocolate and vanilla first, then this burst of tangerine and marmalade. Dried fruits and a hint of cayenne spice, almost like that spicy pineapple chutney I had last Christmas. Mouthfeel’s spot on, not too heavy, and the finish lingers just right. No harsh oak, just clean and warm. Lovely stuff 🥃

Lovely clean amber dram. I get honey, vanilla and marmalade straight away, then tangerine, apricot jam and a bit of blackcurrant jam. Feels nicely rich but not heavy, with dried fruits, walnuts, chocolate, tobacco and a little star anise. There’s a cheeky cayenne kick too, like spicy pineapple chutney 😊 Finish is medium, warm, slightly herbal, with coconut and crystallised ginger hanging about. Very cosy stuff.
