Whiskyspace Notes 1331

Wow, this one hits hard right away. High alcohol, very strong and aggressive, almost a bit bestial. Not much fruit here. It feels big and fat in the mouth, really oily. A lot of smoke, like a big fat oily style, but with a sharp, antiseptic edge. That antiseptic note makes it stand out. Less oily than some others I've tried, and not boring at all. Has a kind of power, a long finish. I get hints of seawater and straw. Surprisingly, it reminds me a bit of a great, crisper sauvignon blanc, or an excellent white Bordeaux from Pessac. The oak is very shy. Overall, it's great, but very in-your-face. Pow
