I poured myself a dram and, crikey, it’s got this lovely gold colour. The nose is like visiting a baker friend early in the morning—so much gingerbread and spicy bread, almost a leaven of fresh breads and pastries. There’s a discreet earthiness underneath, and you get a whiff of violet and lavender ice creams, which is pretty nice. First sip, it’s quite spicy, with rye aplenty and cinnamon. There’s a soft, sweet brioche thing going on, maybe a hint of geranium syrup or orgeat. The oak is very active, but it’s a milder, easier version than some. It’s got that young distillate energy, you know? A very great effort from the craft distiller, though you can feel their dilemma balancing it all. The finish is long, a tad drying, and a bit vermouthy. Left the nightclub and just kept going. For a young baby, it’s very fine—an asset I reckon. 🍞🔥

Lovely golden dram 🥃 Feels quite bakery-ish, like popping round to a mate’s early while the pastries are still warm. Spicy bread, ginger cake, rye, cinnamon and a wee caraway kick. Oak’s lively and a touch drying, but there’s softness too — almost orgeat, violet ice cream, lavender bits. Young, but charming, with a nice long spicy finish.

Warm and cosy dram 🥃 I get a bit of honey, soft spice, dried fruit and a wee smoky edge. Feels smooth, mellow, and quite comforting on a chilly evening. Nice little linger too.

Right, this one's got a lovely nose on it. 🌿 Starts with a bit of smoky peat, but then you get this sweet honey and vanilla thing comin' through. 🍯 On the tongue, it's proper smooth, like. A hint of oak, and some kinda fruity spice. 🌶️ Finish is long and warm, leavin' a nice peppery tingle. 🔥 Reckon it'd be grand for a cold evenin'.
