Wow, this is just bursting with freshness! First thing that hits me is all these lovely, crisp green fruits - green apples, gooseberries, a hint of green melon. It's super clean and pure. Then I get this zingy lemon note, almost like a very fine, dry white wine. Makes me think of a cool glass of Sancerre. There's a lovely tartness, like biting into a sharp cider apple or that amazing smell of crunching on raw rhubarb stalks first thing in the morning. It's all so well put together, extremely coherent. Underneath the fruit, there's this damp chalky, mineral edge, really pleasant. Just a tiny wee doughy, malty side comes through to balance it all. Honestly, it tastes like it's still very fresh from the cask. Can't find a single weakness here, just exceptional purity and freshness. 😊
