Easy whisky vibe tonight – peppery start with a dash of wasabi and a hint of mustard counterpoints. Then the citrus bursts: lemons, tangerines, a slick of olive oil. Some old rum touches, mango and raspberry lift, finishing with bitter chocolate and a quite long finish. Gold hue, dryness balanced by the fruits, feels playful like an old toolbox of flavours. 🥃

honestly this one’s a proper playable drop 🥃 pours out smelling like an old garage and a scuffed old toolbox first, super Ultra-dry off the bat, even a hint of bitter chocolate and that weird mustardy tang? but the second it hits your tongue the fruits just pop — lemons, tangerines, those peppered blood oranges, raspberries, even a little mango — dryness is balanced by citrus fruits perfectly, stops it feeling like that dry old Banff that’s just crying out for more fruit got little zings of menthol, a splash of tabasco heat, touches of old grassy Demerara rum too, slight inkiness and that metallic fruitiness in the back, even a weird wasabi kick at the end after five minutes the flavours mellow out, all the fruity notes come through even more, quite long finish, peppery but not harsh, easy whisky to sip on while you’re pottering about

First sip hits with a sharp lemony zing, then the peppery kick sneaks in – reminds me of marmalade and black pepper. There's a strange metallic fruitiness, like biting into a green apple that's been sitting in a tin. The dryness is there, but the tangerines and mangos really lift it, balancing out with a touch of old Demerara rum that's all grassy and sweet. It's not as dry as some older malts, more like a well-aged toolbox with a bit of olive oil sheen. The raspberries and bitter chocolate linger on the finish, while hints of tabasco and wasabi give it an unexpected heat. Playable for sure, and the fruits come through strong without making it cloying. A gold hue in the glass, and those peppered blood oranges make you think of a summer salad. Five minutes in, and it's still evolving – nice one.

This one’s got a real gold glow to it, almost ink-black in the glass. First sip hits with a little menthol coolness, but then the fruits come through – sharp lemons and ripe raspberries dancing around a peppery kick, like a dash of tabasco sneaking in. There’s an old garage vibe, dry but not bone-dry, with hints of that grassy Demerara rum dryness lingering. The usual pepper’s there, sure, but the mustard counterpoints add this weird warmth that’s oddly satisfying. It’s easy whisky, nothing too wild – well-balanced, with the citrus fruits keeping the dryness in check. Long, lemony finish that’s got touches of old rum and bitter chocolate. Makes me think of a mango orchard after a thunderstorm, if that makes sense. Not sure I’d call it ‘Banff’ without the fruits – they’re what lift it, really. Playable, but not one to rush through. 🥃

这家伙刚入口那会儿，一股干巴巴的金属果味扑面而来，像是被人用铁罐子里的柠檬汁洗了把脸。接着，橄榄油的油腻感和一点芥末的辣味在舌尖打架，简直像在吃寿司时喝了威士忌。 没过多久，血橙和辣椒的冲击来了，辣得鼻子都要冒烟，还夹杂着一点薄荷的清凉。干草味和老车库的霉味混在一起，让人怀疑自己是否喝错了地方。 不过还好，柠檬和芒果的果味慢慢浮现，像是被困在阴沟里的水果终于找到了出口。苦巧克力和墨水的余韵拖得挺长，最后还能尝到点老朗姆的甜腻，整体算是能喝，就是太折磨人了。
