Caught the pear juice first, then that dry, paraffiny bite on the back. It lifts with a sneaky lemon, and a dash of salt just pops out—unexpected but spot on. The toasted oak sits in the middle, a touch of soot on the rim. It feels like the real style of the distillery, medium yet fat, and the aftertaste lingers just enough to remember it. Very very good, part of the game here. Big cheers for this great series. 🍋

This dram’s a bit like a very pale white wine in color, but don’t let that fool you. It’s got a very very good balance going on – bright lemon notes upfront, almost like a splash of Williams pear spirit but with more bite. The saltiness came unexpected, though, really hits you mid-palate like a wave. There’s a slight dusty edge to it, maybe from the little toasted oak influence, but it’s not overpowering. Medium yet fat on the mouth, with a clear, clean finish that lingers. The aftertaste is proper smoky, almost sooty, but in a way that reminds me of smoked salmon – rich and savoury. Very good overall, part of a great series that’s got real style. Just a touch elementary in places, but that’s part of the game here. Proper sipper. 🍸

Ooh, that's a great little whisky, isn't it? Really very good. Very, very good. 👍 On the nose, it's immediately lemony and fruity, like pear juice. Then comes this wonderful apple crumble note. Quite pale, like a very pale white wine. And that first sip... whoa, the saltiness came unexpected! Like smoked salmon. Then it's medium yet fat, with a really real style of the distillery you can taste. Got that classic toasted oak and a dry paraffiny side to it, a bit like Williams pear spirit or even paraffin. Slightly dusty in the best way. It's very elementary but clear, a clear BFYB whisky. That salty, sooty, dirty edge is just part of the game here. The aftertaste lingers nicely. Honestly, it's a great series, this. Great little dram. ✨

The colour was like a very pale white wine, and I got this lovely unexpected hit of pear juice right in the middle. Really brought back memories of a proper Williams pear spirit. The aftertaste was long and clean, just sitting there with that salt and a touch of dust. You can tell it's the real style of the distillery, very elementary but very, very good. Pear juice swirls in, sweet and crisp, but then the smoke rolls in, sooty and proper, like a bonfire in the back garden. Toasted oak gives it a biscuit edge, apple crumble vibes, lemon zing to keep it fresh. Aftertaste lingers like a good story—dusty, slightly smoky, but in a refined way. Real distillery style, no nonsense. Not the fanciest, but bloody good fun 🥃.
