Whiskyspace Notes 1439

Oh wow, that first sip is just... straightforward, you know? Like someone poured real, genuine vanilla and a spoonful of Madagascar honey right in. It’s very simple and clean. Then you get this gentle wave of herbs, maybe some eucalyptus and a bit of mint floating around in the back. There’s a soft sweetness too, like yellow plums and marshmallows. Totally no peat here. It’s got this sort of Japanese modernity to it – precise, light, menthol-cool and crisp. Just a standard, easy-going dram that feels honest and refreshing. 🍯✨

Honestly, poured myself a glass and the colour is this lovely full gold, like late afternoon sunlight. First thing I get is a big whiff of vanilla, really genuine and sugary sweet, almost like marshmallows. Then comes this fresh hit – some herbs, a bit of mint, even a hint of eucalyptus or camphor. Quite cooling, really. It's not a complicated dram at all, very simple and direct. Tastes of yellow plums and honey, with that vanilla note staying right there from start to finish. Not a trace of peat. The oak feels newish but in a good, clean way, maybe that's the "Japanese modernity" feel, like a well-made, functional thing. 🏯 Finish is quite long, leaves you with that menthol freshness and more vanilla. It’s just… nice. Doesn’t try to be fancy, just does its thing well. Quality feels very high for what it is. A proper, straightforward pour. 👍

Had this one last night and honestly, it's really quite pleasant. Not complex at all, very simple actually, but there's something genuinely nice about that. The vanilla hit me straight away — really full-on, almost like those perfect Madagascar vanilla pods, sugary and marshmallowy. Like sticking your nose in a bag of fresh marshmallows 🤤 There's this lovely golden colour in the glass, really full gold, and you get these fresh fruits coming through too. A bit of honey sweetness, maybe some herbs lurking in the background. Caught a faint soapiness which was a bit odd but didn't put me off. No peat whatsoever, which is grand if you're not into that smoky business. There's a touch of camphor and eucalyptus, like a gentle herbal thing, and a little aniseed kick right at the end. Got some newish oak vibes from it too, and honestly the quality remains very high even though it's not trying to be fancy. It's got this Bauhaus whisky feel — clean lines, nothing fussy, just solid and well-made. Bit of that Japanese modernity about it, if that makes sense. Finish is quite long actually, which surprised me. Keeps that full vanilla-ed profile going for ages. Really easy drinking, would happily pour another one tonight 🥃
