Right, this dram's a proper beauty. Colour's a deep brown amber, like old varnish. Nosing it, I get toffees and that superb old-school sherriness – reminds me of my dad's decanter. Hints of cinnamon powder and mulled wine spice mix make it feel festive. 🥃 Tastes like it's been macerated in cognac with old rancio wine notes. There's a bit of British-style rum sweetness, and proper old PX sherry character – just lush. French prunes and dried beef come through, savoury like, then raisins and marmalade hit, turning it into liquid fruitcake. 🍰 It's got the energy of Harry Kane in the box, honestly. Finish is long with tobacco and chocolate, roasted and burnt edges, but perfectly dry. Dried damsons and old armagnac sneak in – indeed, armagnac-style. Coffee and muscovado add depth, with pastries and prunes on the tail end. A splendid drop, that's for sure. 😊

Bloody hell, this is a proper treat. First thing you notice is the colour - a deep, inviting brown amber. Smells like walking into an old pastry shop, all fruitcake and muscovado sugar. Takes me right back to those soaked raisins and French prunes you'd find in a Christmas pudding. There's this magnificent, rich sherriness that's not over the top, just perfectly balanced. A hint of dried beef and some lovely tobacco leaf comes through, like an old leather armchair. The finish is incredibly long, with mulled wine spices and coffee notes that just hang around. Reminds me of that millionaire shortbread my nan used to make, but with a grown-up, chocolatey edge. A splendid drop, no doubt about it. 🍂

First sip is a splendid drop, roasty and deep, a bit like mulled wine spice mix with muscovado sugar. There's a whiff of something sulphury, but in a good way, like a struck match next to pastries. Makes me think of an old rancio wine and British-style rum, with that perfectly dry, burnt edge. Plenty of dried fruits and fine tobaccos come through later. 🍂 Really reminds me of a fine Andalusian Tamdhu and old armagnac. A rather special small outturn, this.
