This dram is extreme, not for everyone. It's gold, very zesty but not an easy nose. Linseed, earthy, huge, with a tad soapy finish. Not an easy dram, more salt and even rounder, like a huge bag of cut grass. It's a rather salty, slightly soapy, and pleasantly challenging contrast to modern, sweet, light malts.

Blimey, this is a proper head-turner! The nose hits you like a mix of old lamp oils and a freshly mown lawn – proper earthy and green, with a hint of linseed and something almost soapy lurking in the background. Not the sort of aroma that screams ‘easy drink,’ but it’s got character. On the palate, it’s huge and bracing – really zesty, like rubbed lemon peel and strong green tea, with this saline kick that’s more salty than expected. There’s a waxy texture, almost Barbour grease-like, and notes of turnips and roots that make you think of a veg patch after rain. It’s the exact opposite of those sweet, oak-chipped malts – more like something your granddad might’ve sipped by a wood stove. The finish is long, dry, and leaves a faint soapiness that’s surprisingly pleasant. Not for everyone, mind, but if you like a dram that’s challenging and unpretentious, this’ll sort you right out 🥃

Not an easy wee dram, but pretty fascinating. Smells a bit like lemon peel, fresh paint, putty and a touch of soap 😅 Salty, zesty, herbal, with green tea and a wee buttery feel. Add water and it gets cleaner, rounder, less prickly. Challenging, but in a good way. Not sweet or cosy — more wild, bracing, and oddly satisfying. 🥃
