Whiskyspace Notes 1756

Just poured a dram and the nose hits me with precious teas and a hint of hibiscus – feels like a proper garden tea party. On the palate there’s that perfect blend of herbs, a flash of flambeed banana and mirabelle, then a cheeky whiff of black pepper and good tannin that keeps it honest. The wood resins and sharper, more pointed wood spices sit nicely beside a tiny menthol resin note, while the long finish drifts into crystalised dark exotic glazed fruits and a touch of Turkish delight. Somewhere in the back I can almost hear the oldest box of cigars rustling, a whisper of tobacco and an old‑world medicinal tincture. It’s most sublime, almost like sipping an ancient cognac mixed with a hint of jasmine tea, and the lingering waxy anthracite warmth makes me think of a comfy armchair by the fire. S.u.p.e.r.b! 😊
