just had a dram that’s oddly sweet upfront – like saccharose and manzana dancing on the tongue, then this proper sour wines kick hits, sharp as lime juice. there’s a hint of fennel and apple liqueur clinging on, but the real weird bit? it’s got this seawater edge, salty and peaty, like a storm rolling in off the coast. the texture’s thick, almost mashed potatoes creamy, and it lingers forever – rather long finish, yeah? reminds me of sitting in a pub garden, sweet beers and limoncello leftovers, but rougher, less polished. main asset’s definitely the contrast, but i’m not sure it’s for everyone. 🥃
