Whiskyspace Notes 1349

Right, had a glass of this last night. At first I got this good hit of herbs and a bit of that candy sugar sweetness — quite pleasant really. There's some vanilla floating around in there too, and I thought I caught a whiff of sawdust, like a proper woody thing going on. The spirit is a little shy to be honest, doesn't overwhelm you at all. A few sips in and I started picking up some tropical fruit notes — maybe banana skin actually, and something like orchard fruits from the garden, apples and that sort of thing. There's a touch of corn syrup sweetness in the background. Felt a bit leather-y towards the end, more austere than I expected. Not a lot happening on the finish, but it's a fine drop for a quiet evening. The oak comes through gently without being too pushy. 🥃 Honestly, nothing crazy going on, but sometimes you just want something that doesn't make a big fuss, innit?
