Blimey, this one’s got a nose you wouldn’t expect – like walking into a bakery that’s also got a spice rack. Quite the interesting mix. On the palate it’s a proper great ride. First off, there’s a burst of juicy oranges and a bit of lemon zest, quickly followed by a wave of black pepper and ginger. 🤔 Then it gets all creamy and rich – think custard, sour cream, and even a bit of yoghurt. There’s a straight, firm oak backbone there too, and then some lovely roasted nuts and marzipan notes come through. Sweet liqueury bits mingle with a hint of grassiness. The finish is long, warming, and peppery. It leaves a lovely memory of coffee and butter. Quite a journey!
