Just had a dram that reminded me of mint lozenges and a hint of bergamot, with cocoa powder and almonds lurking in the background. There’s a touch of oak cask and a little drying, plus a whisper of tar liqueurs and soft spices. Feels like moving through a whole picture of gold and many stories, with an evolving resinous side and a touch of metal. 😌

First sip hits with a proper medicinal kick, like cough syrup mixed with some old wine – there's that classic oak cask warmth, but honestly, it's a bit too oaky for my taste. The citrus notes jump out, lovely bergamots and citrons dancing around, while soft spices and cinnamon whisper in the background. There's something earthy and mushroomy on the side, maybe even a touch of Japanese seaweed if I'm honest, but it's all right, keeps me wanting another taste. Mid-palate shifts to crushed nuts and almonds, with a hint of halva sweetness, but then that resinous side starts evolving – kinda tar-like, almost like motor oil or pitch, which is a bit weird. The finish is short and drying, leaves me thinking of mint lozenges and a faint touch of metal. Not the smoothest dram, feels a bit imperfect, like it's missing something – maybe some chartreuse magic or old liqueurs depth. But overall, the whole picture's not bad, just not this baby's best side. Would I have another? Moving, but cautiously. 🥃

Alright, so I poured a dram this evening. 🌲 First whiff, there's motor oil and pitch – quite industrial, a bit like an old garage. Then it opens up into this resinous, pinesap thing, with a touch of metal. It's not all rough edges though. I'm getting soft spices, cinnamon, and something like crushed almonds mixed with cocoa powder. There’s a lemongrass note too, and a hint of bergamot, like a strong Earl Grey tea. The finish is short and drying, with a slight cough syrup medicinal edge. The whole thing evolves, really – it's a bit imperfect, moving from oaky to waxy to old wine. Not this expression's best side, but all right. Has that rancio, old-liqueur character. Might be a movie-malt for some, with many stories in the glass. 🤔 The global feeling is… complex. Magic for the right moment.

Right, poured myself a dram tonight and honestly... it's a bit of a mixed bag, this one. First thing that hit me was this earl grey tea vibe, maybe some bergamots peeking through. Quite resinous actually, got that pine and evolving resinous side going on. There's something almost like wax polish in there too 🤔 Mid-palate I'm getting soft spices, cinnamon mostly, and weirdly enough some Japanese seaweed – I know, sounds odd but it's there. Touch of cocoa powder and almonds, maybe a hint of lemongrass which is quite pleasant. But then... there's this cough syrup and tar liqueurs thing lurking around. Some old wine notes, rancio character, and honestly not this baby's best side. A bit of pitch and benzoin, almost medicinal in places. The finish has lovely notes of citrons and gold colour's gorgeous though ✨ Liquorice comes through at the end, and mint lozenges sort of linger. Some old liqueurs in there too if you dig around. All in all it's alright – got a mushroomy side that's interesting, bit of magic in places. Definitely no 90-material if I'm being honest, but it's got character. A proper picture-malt, one for when you want something to think about 🥃

一开瓶就闻到一股老旧药房的味道，有点像陈年咳嗽糖浆混着佛手柑皮。晃一晃杯子，又飘出松脂和柏油的香气，隐约还有蜡光剂的光泽感。 小啜一口，质感像稀薄的机油在舌尖化开，转而变成杏仁油和坚果碎的绵密。中间那截有点干涩，带点可可粉和哈尔瓦甜点的影子，但又被强烈的橡木味压住。 后段突然变成老利口酒的调子，甘草、苦艾酒甚至一丝金属气息都冒出来了。整体像部没剪好的老电影——片段很迷人，但拼在一起总觉得差口气。最后留在舌根的是雪松和风干柑橘皮，慢慢变成温热的树脂香。 说不上完美，但确实讲了很多故事… 🌲🥃
