Light gold in the glass, immediately swarms with all kinds of tiny fruity and oily aromas and fragrances – got lemons, oranges, apple peelings, even a touch of gooseberries. Underneath, there’s this sweet earth, whole barley, maybe some pollen and hay. Take a sip, it’s medium on the tongue. The honey and butterscotch come through, along with this lovely brioche and shortbread note – almost like a fruit salad dressed with honey sauce. Gets farmier as it sits. No sherry, just a clean, malty core with a light touch of American oak. Rewards you if you give it your attention. Perfect malt whisky for malt freaks who’re not into artificial flavouring. 😌 A shame that I haven’t got the 19 at hand to compare.

这杯的颜色是那种淡金色，很漂亮。闻起来首先跳出来的是苹果和橙子的香气，然后各种微小的水果和油性的香气就成群结队地冒出来，像蜂蜜酱汁洒在水果沙拉上，还有点花粉和甜土的味道。 喝起来是中度的口感，很扎实。感觉整个麦芽的核心都在这里了，支撑着所有风味。黄油茶和奶油糖的甜味明显，但后面又有些羊角饼干和酥饼的烘焙感。过一会儿会变得更农庄一些，有点干草和葵花籽油的感觉，但底子是蜂蜜和甜的。 没有雪莉桶的那种厚重，很纯净。给你一点时间，它就会回报你更多层次，比如一点点醋栗的明亮酸度，还有奶油面包的香气。真是位好的蒸馏产物，给喜欢纯粹麦芽风味、不爱人工添加物的家伙准备的完美选择。可惜我手边没有那个19年的版本，不然应该能发现更多有趣的东西。😉

刚倒一杯，颜色是light gold，看着就舒服。闻起来honey和pollen很明显，还带点hay的香气，让我想起夏天的草地。喝起来没有sherry或peat，反而有种fruit peelings的清爽感，混合着brioche的微甜。整体像fruit salad dressed with honey sauce，perfect malt whisky，对我们这些不喜欢artificial flavouring的malt freaks来说太棒了。这distillate真赞，rewards you慢慢品。还有oranges和gooseberries的果香，整个感觉很whole。🍺 sunflower oil的顺滑也挺意外的，putty的味倒是没太察觉。总之，日常小酌的享受！😊

Light gold in the glass ✨ Feels cosy and malty, like brioche, shortbread and a bit of buttered tea. I get honey, apples, orange peel, lemons and a wee gooseberry lift. There’s a soft farmy bit too — hay, barley, pollen, sweet earth 🌾 No smoke, no sherry hit, just clean malt, gentle oak and oily little fruity bits. Proper easy to sit with, and it keeps giving if you take your time.

Light gold in the glass ✨ Feels all honeyed shortbread, brioche and croissants, with a wee buttery tea thing going on. No peat, no sherry fuss — just soft barley, hay, lemon, kiwi and gooseberry bits. Sweet, malty, a little earthy, and brighter than I expected. Quite cosy, really.
