Hada dram that reminded me of old grain stores, pale gold in the glass. First sniff gave a slight petroly touch with a few spruce hints, then a soft rum note peeking through, like a whisper of Cuban cane syrup. Bit of ginger and caraway on the palate, finishing medium length with a touch of fir bud liqueur and orange zest. Feels close to a malt but still grainy, lovely structure, a bit dry, overall quite nice. 😊

Pale gold in the glass, almost like an Apérol Spritz but deeper. First hit’s all orange liqueur, sweet but not cloying—then a whisper of sugar cane, like it’s been napping in a Cuban rum cask. Dries out quick on the nose, a bit earthy, with a tiny spruce note lurking. Soft rum hums underneath, but there’s this odd petrol flicker too—who knows where that came from. Goodness, the grain’s got structure, almost malt-like. 50 years suits it, I’d say. Finishes medium, a touch of rutabaga maybe? Well, intriguing stuff.

Blimey, just poured a dram of this old grain whisky. It's a pale gold in the glass. The nose is fascinating – starts increasingly dry, with this slight petroly touch, almost like a distant motor. Then comes waves of orange liqueur, really more on that than anything else. There's a hint of cane syrup and soft rum in there too. Put it to your lips and you're struck by the structure. For a grain, it’s lovely, really well-proportioned. You can detect that soft rum character right away, with a bit of ginger and caraway spice. It feels rich, like a true ‘uebergrain’, thanks to the good proportion of malted barley, I reckon. The finish is medium length, generally dry, with that soft rum note lingering and a tiny, intriguing bit of tar. Goodness, fifty years have suited this one perfectly. It’s the closest a Scottish grain has ever come to a malt for me. A special pour. 🥃

Quite a cosy dram, this 🥃 Soft fruit, a bit of honey, and a wee touch of spice. Feels warm and easy-going, with a nice mellow finish. Proper relaxed sipper.

Ooh, this whisky's got a lovely warmth to it. 😊 First sip, I get some honey and maybe a bit of dried fruit? It's really smooth, with a hint of smokyness that sticks around. The finish is long and satisfying, with a touch of spice. 🥃 Perfect for a cozy night in.
