Whiskyspace Notes 2085

This one’s a right treat. The nose is lovely and fresh – whiffs of orange blossom and something really floral, like a wee glass of limoncello after a coastal breeze. Gentler notes of mint and aniseed dance through, not too shy but not overwhelming. On the palate, mashy notes mix with hints of sherry and bourbon, giving it that Springbanky fatness. There’s a touch of engine oil and a tad metallic, which I’m a fan of in this style. The aftertaste is coastal too, with beach sand and a tad less complex herbal kick. Not even hiding some touches of soot and lemon marmalade – proper old tool stuff. More engine oil lingers, but it’s the fantastic North Star kind. 🥃✨
