Proper old-school sherried dram this, dark and chewy. I get walnuts, raisins, damson jam and a bit of Dundee cake, then that dusty dunnage thing with wax, old leather, coal hearths and damp gravel. There’s a funny savoury side too, like game, bay leaf and dried rosemary, with soft bergamot and maraschino sweetness popping up later. Finishes long, earthy and a touch drying. Lovely fireside stuff 🥃
